Sketch of documentary tea-party-performance "Kalykhanka"

We invite you to the sketch of documentary tea-party-performance "Kalykhanka" ("Lullaby" — Bel.) – based on a documentary play from 2021.

The starting point of the play, based on the mass protests in Belarus in 2020, becomes a reflection on protests in general, and then it extends to a reflection on the experience of forced emigration. The issues raised in the play remain relevant and require rethinking in 2023 in the context of Russia's war against Ukraine and new waves of mass emigration. The presentation will conclude with a common discussion in which everyone is welcome to participate.

Format: chamber kitchen talks with tea with thyme and cookies.

Author of the play and performance director: Masha Sapizhak, multidisciplinary artist, documentary theater maker, (Saint-Petersburg–Tbilisi–Berlin)
